Where to get advice on Life insurance?

    Me and my wife are thinking of taking up life/income/tpd insurance outside of super and also change our super providers.

    I understand I need to talk to a financial advisor/planner regarding this.

    How do I find a good financial advisor/planner? Is there anyone recommenced in pc?

    Why not a strategy that considers in and out of super ? It varies with a range of factors including accrued sick leave and long service leave (since these can suffice until the waiting period runs down). Our financial advisers have taught me that this is a complex area where experience matters.

    Stay clear of anyone who works for or is a tied agent for a insurer or a product seller such as a bank.

    Suggest searching the Financial Planner thread for FP recommendations. I remember Terry suggesting the person below in this thread [LINK]. Note I haven't used Kyle or have had any dealings with him.

    this is a tricky area and not like buying a fridge

    Many peops have " a good deal" and when time comes to claim, they find out they are NOT insured,.

    a fully underwitten and researched policy is the best way to go IF one wants proper risk cover.
