    Hi all,

Have between $250 - $400 to invest and have been looking at South Australia. Munno Para West looks to be decent. I was wondering what people's thoughts are on this? Looking for a good rental yield for tax reduction purpose. Well aware the capital growth is not going to sky rocket as well.

    Cheers.

    Hi there!

Having a good rental yield would be opposite of maximising tax deductions to reduce tax

Generally those looking to reduce tax, tend to focus on capital growth

Having said this, tax shouldn't be the sole driver

What had you decide on Adelaide? You say it looks decent - what criteria have you applied to come up with this conclusion?

Hi sorry what i should have said was looking for a good rental yield so that the amount put in out of my own pocket on the load would not need to be significant. The area looks to have a decent yield based on the sample of properties i looked at on realestate.com.au which already had existing tenants until 2020 and 2021.The additional tax benefits are also driving my wife an i to purchase an investment.

Are these brand new properties you are looking at?

Apart from rental return - what is attracting you to the area?

At 400 there's definitely plenty of options inside of the playford lga. But there is also plenty of choice outside of it. For that kind of money i would be looking further south down main nth rd.
