    I would be amazed if it amounted to 3k for most people a year. Only really handy perks to have if going to the GP with nauseating regularity and taking public transport. Hardly my idea of a fabulous retirement given the choice. I agree, greedy so-and-so's.

    Yep, Tesla has done well. Tomorrow could be GFC2 though, so I won't count my chickens.

    I hold a VERY high risk portfolio, extremely unbalanced and not something I would recommend for others. You won't see this in any "investment 101" books but here's the weighting of my current share/currency portfolio.

    So far, so good but like I said, tomorrow things could change.

    What is the size of this portfolio in money terms? I assume high risk is probably offset by relatively low total vale (and therefore low total personal risk compared to value of your investment properties)

    Yep. Most are heavy in tech areas experiencing exponential growth esp. AI/machine learning/robotics/automation — game changers.

    $ unimportant, % important :)

    ~25% of net worth — enough to give a most a heart attack (don't forget currency risk).

    As my capital grows, a smaller % will be allocated to higher risk/return but I'd sleep just find if my shares all went to $0 tomorrow. Really.

    Basically, I'll take a 1-in-10 chance of a 20x return every day of the week.

    Here's the purchase dates and gains/losses as of right now:

    I don't believe this is sustainable.
