Travel & Holidays Yarra Bay, Sydney.

Anybody been there?
We sometimes go late arvo on the weekend because it's a short drive from where we live - Marrickville.
Yarra Bay is on the northern edge of Botany Bay between La Perouse and some pretty ugly industrial sites. This is the view looking toward La Perouse with the industrial stuff behind me.
We've got an English couple staying in our AirBNB pad so we took them with us. He got out of the car and said, 'Bloody hell. Even the crap parts of Sydney are amazing.'

 

I sold some equipment to the sailing club there about 10 years ago. Great spot. Never knew it existed. The docks aren't much to look at, but when I was there they surprisingly didn't seem to make much noise.

 

Yes, not many people know about the place. While we were there, a local kid came over the dunes behind the beach on her horse and took it down the western end of the beach and they both had a swim. I reckon my teenage girls thought that kid might have been the coolest teenager in existence right at that moment.
