Investing in bling is not necessarily the best thing.

    True...
Correct me if I'm wrong..but since their inception, all those cities ( and the well located apartments like the example) have had fantastic CG.

@JDP1 yes most of them did, over time. I think the trend though is that buying into them upon first-completion (and especially OTP!) Is often a poor decision to make. Perhaps 5-10 years after completion is a good time for them?

Also, the podcast supplies only 'iconic' buildings in the mentioned cities, so they are an anomaly amongst all other buildings in those cities, right? I.e. we don't seem to ha e any iconic one-of-a-kind-game-changer residential buildings in any of our cities except perhaps notably Q1 on the GC (though that is soon to be outdone!) and Eureka Tower in Melbourne. Correct me if I'm wrong though! Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth to date seem to only have nondescript bland resi towers, no iconic status there.

@C-mac what about the Green Square apartment development by Crown group ?

Sydney Luxury Apartments | Infinity by Crown Group

    That's iconic for sure.

Central Park in Broadway used to be the best one but not anymore due to the Green Square development looks better.

Yes, but in terms of building structure and model it is iconic :D.

I cannot affords to buy there hence I bought in Park Ridge.

Luckily no one mention my suburb as the worst one to invest.

    Darwin.....

There is still a lot of land being released, lots of units coming online whilst the population decreases.
Oversupply plus apra doesn't paint a rosy picture.

However it could be the place to buy towards the end of 2016 if everyone freaks out...

I'm actually thinking Parramatta is looking a bit scary atm, as well as some parts of the Hills District/bordering Blacktown areas (e.g. Stanhope, K-ville).

Parra - too many apartments (a friend is an agent and is pretty concerned)
Hills district etc - used to live there and perhaps it's bias but completely flabberghasted by what people will pay to live there.

And then there's the westie suburbs where I am atm ($500k for a fibro *******?!)

Park Ridge (it is negative already according to data another member posted)
Lake Munmoron (it will never recover from it's 2015 visitors)

In 2016 there are going to be some areas that do well and some not to well.
I think Melbourne's West still has some good growth in it as well.

Don't shoot me, I did not produce the numbers....... ( supplied the link, I cannot also read it to you).

You may have not read past Park Ridge in my post before you started to panic, but you would have seen some smiles, if your happy & it works for you, why worry.

Maybe it was over hyped ?

That's why I ask you @dabbler is there any link or evident to that ?

Do I need to worry or it's just another confusing tactics from the media for not investing in Park Ridge to avoid investor flooding the market ?
