Just a quick one to run by the trusted PC advisory teams :)

We have a couple of old timber clad weatherboard rentals completely un-insulated.

Im able to insulate the subfloor and walls with a high quality spray insulation, but can't get to the walls.

    Pointless exercise?

I’m confused. You can or cannot insulate the walls?

Windows leak more than walls, how are you going to slow this loss?

What is in the ceiling? Roof?

Batts in the ceiling, heavy and thick curtains.

Draft stopping tape/foam or rubber around the windows and an auto draft stopper at the external doors.

Cannot insulate walls, just sub floor and ceiling using spray foam insulation. But the walls and windows etc will be left as we can't get to them.

Currently half the old insulation, there's more dust than insulation!

Why use spray foam in the ceiling? Batts are cheap and effective.

You can help with heat loss through the windows with thick heat retaining curtains.
