it did have a good plot and actually had spy elements something missing from the latest ones. I will forgive you for your lack of Dalton love :)

Dalton is better than lazenby though...what a train wreck lazenby turned out to be...and his movie was a real flop- one of the worst in the series.
Daniel criag isn't too bad as bond- and casino royale was a quite good imo [ good action scenes, devious villans, girls were hot etc- everything a good ol bond flick is known for] , and he was more than competent in the movie. Too bad his attitude off screen isn't great.

Lazenby was really bitter about his dumping but Sean Connery agreed to come back for big $$$ and frankly there was no comparison. I also thought Roger Moore was pretty good, at least his films are usually campy and amusing apart from the truly awful Moonraker (nearly wreaked the franchise in my opinion).

Interesting to read lazenby on Wikipedia. He suggested that he did not get along with the movie brass and he walked. whatever the case, his departure saved the franchise.

hes a good actor, I like james bond, I liked him in 9it, but I dont think history will be kind to him,

he will be the james bond actor that got lucky and got role and is not anywhere near the same calibre of the previous 007s

personally, Id barely heard of him when he was announced and I was like "why the hell him?"

Craig brings a tough guy kick ass part to bond that Moore and also Connery did not have. That too is an important part of the role. he doea not have the charm that the others have though. Maybe it's tough to find someone with everything.. Some candidates on this forum perhaps? My vote is for @datto :p :-D

I dunno, I reckon Connery had more of the hard man image, could slap a woman and make it believable.
Moore was more of the ladies man.

true...maybe back in the day, for his time, connery seemed more of a tough guy..
Yea, moore and brosnan as well are the smoothest.
Craig cant schmooze his way into villans hideaways, casino's, ladies pants etc ...like the other guys could.

License to Kill almost killed the franchise off for good, one of the worst Bond films made...even with Robert Davi in it...

Casino Royale was undoubtedly one of the best Bonds in recent memory, and definitely one of the best of all time. Quantum of Solace was a let down after a stunning debut, and Skyfall was gritty, dark and had real substance to it...if Spectre reaches the same lofty standards that Casino Royale and Skyfall achieved, he will overtake Roger Moore in the hierarchy.

    No-one gets close to Connery.

Strange Fact: Roger Moore is actually older than Sean Connery. By the time he was doing A View to a Kill, his last Bond flick Roger Moore was 58..

Its well known the producers were idiots and released it in the American summer against Batman, Raiders of the lost Ark, lethal weapon 2, Abyss and Ghostbusters 2. Terrible decision and they learnt from it. Every movie since has been released in October of November since.

So did I ! Roger Moore is probably my favourite - he made it campy and dry.

yeah...but Le Chiffre made a good villain- ruthless, cunning, smart, and most of all- he has the hottest GF in the entire movie.

Yeah, you would think they would have at least had some dodgy setup with fake crocs and boards under the water.
