I don't find that a particularly inspiring article.

Basically he's saying what most of us here do -leverage with the banks's money. Let's face it. Without the leverage we use, it's gonna be game over. Or well have to modify our wealth aspirations and how long it will take us. Imagine buying all these properties we do with no leverage? Developments with no leverage? Totally self funded?? For most of us it's game over. Just my opinion.

It's a state the obvious article, it does show how his rise was so quick in the early days though.

Banks were throwing money at developers back then (so I've read) and he just so happened to be in one of Americas best areas undergoing gentrification..

None the less, he is still a massive tool!

Far less vulgar than saying one is filthy rich!

Not for all. I had never borrowed a cent in my life, only self funded. But who knows what the future holds. Maybe someone will convince me to borrow a bit.

Because I don't like it. When you are self funded you don't have to worry about anything except market cycle and exchange rate. I don't want to be filthy rich, I'm not greedy. And I always made enough without any borrowing.
But times are changing and I might not be able to make enough now. My habits may change.

Well done mate. If you can achieve your financial aspirations without OTP then that's great. I know I cant. I wouldn't even get close.

Don't mean to pry, but do you mean you saved every cent to buy your 1st property with cash outright?

The article doesn't mention much about how he was born rich.

The one thing that struck me was that fellas hair. Makes me wanna laugh. Phoney as a two bob watch lol.

    I like donald trump

However to me the article left my head scratching

Its almost like he was saying. The laws are stupid. Exploit them and you never have to pay any bad debts back. Go and do whatever you want and there are little consequences

Didnt really tell me how to get rich

    Probbaly why im not

He was born with some hefty money, there's no doubt about that.

What he has done with that money, his subsequent deals, branding, books etc. That, he was not born with. I think I have read almost everything out there about the guy - he is a brilliant negotiator. Brilliant, imo.

    kudos where its due imo.

It takes much much more than negotiation skills to be an effective president... And he lacks most of those skills.
