    Hi all,

We are currently conducting 4townhouse development in South side of Brisbane. We intend to hire a builder as a construction project manager to manage the townhouse construction process from beginning to practical completion. We are just wondering who should sign the building construction contract, should we sign or should construction project manager sign. It would be much appreciated if anyone can give us some advice for it.

    Many thanks

    Ming

The contract is between the builder and the owner. All of the owners will need to sign.

Is the project manager also going to be the builder or are you having a separate builder?

Who is contracting with the subbies - the PM, the builder or you directly?

Ming , out of interest, what sort of contractual arrangement are you going to have with your project manager?

I'm guessing he means the builder will be organizing the subbies and Ming will be Project manager liaising with the builder...? Unless he wants to be completely hands off and has a PM liaising with the builder while he is really the armchair developer...
