I'm interested to hear why users hold a particular Aussie share ETF. (I've always held VAS personally)

I see a lot of love for VAS and STW on here, but little for IOZ. Obviously A200 is pretty new but growing fast.

(Full disclosure, my brother is starting a basic 2 ETF portfolio, VGS + an aussie ETF. He doesn't want to use VAS as he would like to use a different firm)

    VAS for me.

Considered A200 but just felt more comfortable with Vanguard for now.

This is what I was thinking! I’ve seen you often talk about STW! Why are you such a fan?

The original, single class (etf only) almost
As much fum as VAS. As etf only has the best
Quality distributions. Big tick for mine.

None of the above. I don't want high concentration of mediocre banks and miners, I have NDQ to get Global exposure with the best 100 companies in the world ran by the smartest people and not have to worry about hassle with tax forms etc. I also have HACK to get exposure to long term rising expenditure in cyber security with a concentration of fast growing large Global leaders ( top 10 make up 50%, but has small positions in potential disrupters to mitigate risk)

@number 5 Each ETF’s investment benchmark is slightly different

I've held STW (ASX200) for donkeys as there was no VAS (ASX300) at the time, both now do quarterly distributions (STW used to be bi-annually and both have had higher MER's than their present fees) and performance of both is similar per below chart. The funds under management on VAS has been rapidly expanding and its expected to surpass STW in the next year or two

Over the last couple of years I've directed new funds into VAS and let STW holdings run

Conventional wisdom regarding index funds is to buy the option with the lowest fee (that would be Betashares A200)

Vanguard has a history of reducing fee's (lets hope that continues) and with increasing competition that SPDR also takes a fee haircut

Yes, I don’t hold STW. The OP wanted a recommendation on a non Vanguard fund.
    STW is the best alternative.
