The 4 Cs, is spin/sales talk, but you don't need worry anymore I guess, until you change your mind;)

I was replying to @spludgey but I understand what you are saying. I'm sure he can jump in and answer if he feels the need.

I also find the whole wedding fluff repugnant, but I still love diamonds. I'd never pay full price for one though.

Oh no, not at all. It's just that my dear wife really wanted a diamond ring and I spend dozens of hours learning about it and getting the right one.
She doesn't even wear it because she's worried that she's going to lose it (and currently because her fingers are swollen due pregnancy), so I just see it as a waste of money of a few thousand dollars.
But fortunately, she's not generally a material girl, so this can easily be forgiven.

We both actually feel the same about the wedding. Could have invested those $20k more wisely.

@spludgey I'm glad to hear your reply. It sounded like you were unhappy or bitter, but I can see that isn't the case and I can see where you are coming from.

I love my diamonds, but if I lost them, I'd probably replace them with fakes. Fakes these days look pretty good.

There could be a win-win situation here as @wylie loves diamonds and @spludgey could recoup somewhere near 20k...

The benefits of the PChat forums really knows no bounds...
