Where to open a real estate agency?

    Hi there,

    I currently own a real estate agency in Western Sydney. Although I do well for myself, I'm looking to open a new agency elsewhere in Sydney. Money, time and travel is not an issue for me. I have been looking at some areas in the east and south-east or even the inner-west.

    Does anyone have any tips or advice? Any specific suburbs I should keep an eye out? I'm hoping to move around June or July.

    Would you keep the existing agency?

    What is the main driver for a move?
    - better clientele?
    - create an additional market?
    - increased income via additional services? PM, BA etc

    If you are planning to move the whole agency and basically start afresh are you looking for a suburb which has little REA local coverage?

    Deeper thinking questions - do you believe that you need a shopfront agency? How big will it need to be - how many staff? Will you offer additional services such as BA, PM etc
