    Wow. Great find. Doesn’t seem much changed since then. Except the crazy prices. £750 per brick house. Prices were as insane then as they are now.

    love it! great reminder that money is made for depreciation. It is likely that an average house will be costing 10 million dollars in another 30 years. that will be before my official retirement age!

    even if I don't pay a single dollar in principle all will equivalent to half of house if I have 5 mil loan now

    Changed it to 30 years as a more realistic prediction.
    Sydney is 1.2mil for a house now, a 7.5% pa average growth will comfortably get you there. Think about it, what was the price of any average home in 1988, 30 years ago?

    Great reading. I made good headway but a long way to go.
    I love the oscillating beds for the sleepout (now I get it - summer sleeping) and the jam packed living rooms. Talk about a love of clutter.
