    Hello Gurus

I am looking to buy an investment property for under 750K which will give a good CG in 4-5 years and a yield of more than 5% in Brisbane suburbs. I am not that familiar with the area being interstate, I had planned on visiting and getting a qualitative feel of the areas but lockdown is not helping at the moment. So, would like some suggestions and areas around Brisbane.

    Thanks heaps

Any particular reason for choosing Coopers Plains?

    4152 I am biased too!
Also consider Rochedale South ( in Logan city council)
There are some other suburbs too out west ( Jindalee etc )
    Murrarie?

Close your eyes and get a dart and throw it at the map. Where-ever it lands it will grow.

Brisbane is the prime location right now and in the near future to invest right now. Yes we've had considerable growth but there is still plenty in BNE and surrounding LGA's. Its still way way too cheap.

Any particular pick in between these Logan LGA's for capital growth:
    1) Shailer Park
    2) Daisy Hill
    3) Slacks Creek
    4) Cornubia
    5) Slacks Creek
    6) Meadowbrook

    Thanks

Well it's close to Robertson/Sunnybank, which are premium suburbs. There's a hospital, university and good schools, such as Robertson State School.

If close to Troughton Road there's good buses to and from cbd

If you are chasing yields I would buy two properties in Logan.
Under 750k with 5 percent yields will be hard to find in this rising market

At that price point, you would have a range of options to choose from. Others have already mentioned numerous viable options. If looking in the Brisbane market I like the look of Ferny Hills and Ferny Grove for your budget. Though you may want to consider purchasing at a cheaper price point and then purchasing again if possible? There has actually been a fair few threads on the 700-800k price point so you may find it valuable to use the search function and read through the information there too.

Meadowbrook is in throes of $500m infrastructure spend. Logan Hospital rail station upgrade and 'red zone' zoning 8n loganlea adjacent( townhouses ). Also rail upgrade kuraby to Beenleigh ( loganlea station is mid point).

The section of Meadowbrook closest to hospital is quite desirable. For a lower budget loganlea ( disclosure.... ip in this zone ).

Slacks Creek North of Park Rd.

Nothing wrong with Ur other suggestions.....

Still looking but changed my suburbs, it has been hard to secure anything in this market. Currently looking at Alex Hills, Birkdale, Ormiston, Wynnum West, and Manly West.

    Hey mate,

Congratulations on your purchase. I am now travelling in the same boat as you were previously. Interested in buying in Brisbane and because I am in NSW, don't know where to buy. Have similar budget too. Can I please ask where and what did you buy? It would really help me.

Bought in Brikdale near the school and park :) Always go with a bigger block/ established house. Good luck with your purchase.

did you achieve the (pretty high) yield you were hoping for? For Birkdale it seems typical is 4%
