There are Different types of battlers….. self inflicted……like my BIL, has always had a well paid job, but just not savvy with money….. so they just keep battling and end up on the pension

    Exactly this!

Those in the "better" areas think this life choice is being a bogan rather than having particular traits that may seem bogan.

Rough around the edges, shorts and thongs with a Bintang singlet, enjoying a beer or 20 with your closest randoms at the pub. Doesn't mind throwing an f bomb into every sentence and has little regard for doing or saying the right thing in the right audience.

I hear Laser clinics are a growing business, removing tats, particularly in the run up to weddings

I agree! I don't call them battlers either, but the general public as a whole does.

What I mean is that there comes a time when the tax benefits of super are outweighed by profits you make elsewhere. As this is a PC forum I don't usually talk about other investments. Super has limits on concessional and non concessional caps etc. My tax accountant has us with enough super each we could retire twice but as I also make returns from share and Forex trading way, way above any return I will ever get from super even with tax concessions, we consider super now maxed out. Like I said their are people here with more properties then I would ever have wanted but making money is what the games about. I just did a mix and found what worked for us. Did we make mistakes, helm yeah.
I came from a very poor family ( but not sock and thong bogans, just widowed mum with lots of young kids) and as a young bloke decided that would end and my kids and theirs would have a lot more opportunities. Roll forward a few decades and it's happened. I even bought my mum a house as a birthday present once.

Tatts are art work and expressive and certainly not the same quality they used to be (don’t get me wrong I’ve seen some horrible ones lol)

I have a full right arm sleeve, you don’t even notice it under my shirt & suit.

You would be surprised. It depends so much on the other person's son... Daughter with a lot of money attracts a different kind of men.

Mandurah - Madora Bay, specifically. Madora Bay is ideal b/c it's super quick onto the freeway and a train is getting built close by also. South of Mandurah is gorgeous, but an extra 30 mins to get into the city cos it takes forever to get to the freeway. We love it here, but the schools are crap so be ready to either homeschool or send your kids into Perth.

Well fingers crossed she'll grow up with a good compass and be resilient and confident enough to make good choices. That's always a worry. The boyfriend scene. I'll probably scare the living daylights out of any boy she introduces. So if he's willing to put up with me and stay the course, he may be a keeper :D
