    To have a look at suburb price trends. I can't find the equivalent link on realestate.com.au, but it goes a little further back in history.

    Be aware that at times like the current one we find ourselves in, many property sale prices are not disclosed publicly, so it tends to skew the suburb medians down. This is to preserve the current listings on the market and not give false hope to current sellers or unrealistically attract potential sellers to list. A small percentage of past year's sale data would fall into this category too - it's usually reserved for properties where there is no comparables (like a unique one of a kind heritage listed outlier for instance). A fair assessment of a property's value can only occur when one can find comparisons of what is available for similar properties nearby that has sold recently. When transaction prices are withheld from the public, only those in the industry (or the clerk collecting the stamp duty) would have access to it.
