$11mil? I would quit my job tomorrow stat.
I personally think winning $1m is more interesting than $11mil though...

Ok then if you win $11m I'll give you the one and dance around in my underpants as long as you like for the other ten.

Ed, I think @EN710 will readily and hurriedly give you the 10 million not to see you dancing around in your underpants.:D

Yeah me too. But I'd go in for a week or 2 just to annoy the boss. :p

Pay off the loan for the recent PPoR purchase, and park the remainder in the ING account temporarily.

Then, go on a 2 week holiday to somewhere sunny and warm like Noosa.

Then, go back to work as normal.

Then, use some of the remaining cash to build a new PPoR (the existing house is a knock-over).

Then, leverage into the PPoR equity to buy some more income producing r/e, and keep the remaining cash from the $1m in an offset against the IP loans.

Might use some of the freed up cash from the previous PPoR loan repayments to fund a newer car, and use the rest to pay down the IP debts.

Pretty boring plan now that I've read this back.:D

This is not the 70's. You won't get one for $150pw, let alone a pair.

I would split it up between my nieces and nephews. It would only amount to $100k each but when you are young and struggling that is like a a million!!!!

I am retired with sufficient funds to live on, I would rather give it to people who really need it.

    I missed the 'joke'.
Dick should be ashamed. He's paying the poor Au Pairs $6 per hour and only giving them 25 hours pay a week. I have no doubt they work more than that. It's little surprise the Greens are considering partnering with the Libs - they have the same labour force policy.

"rent, meals and sundries" are not a perk of this job, just a natural part of the job. You give them all that so they're basically on call and work an hour here and an hour there.

With a 3% swr, for some people it's enough to sustain a rewarding lifestyle if you own your own home and have no debts.
