The problem with someone like Putin is his ego and how this will reflect on his leadership.

He cant simply stop without a resolution that will not completely make him look like an idiot or a leader that has made the biggest mistake any global leader has made in recent history. Their currency has nosedived and he has put his own ppl into big trouble.

Biggest thing imho stopping this now is his personal ego and his "face" and how he would look to his own ppl and to the world if he did stop.

The Oligarchs will take him down - only concern/hope is the power vacuum left behind

At this point, nothing will stop him.

He simply is not thinking about this the way we in the West do, it is just as irrational of us to think he will just stop due to what many westerners dislike.

The future problems may be if this extends into a street by street battle as I think it will ..
One only has to look into the faces of the people fighting in the front lines -they don't look to me in any way worried and will fight till the end..
Look up the history from WW2 and what rules their underground fighters fought under as Putin underestimated no retreat no surrender..

Watch the Beau of the Fifth Column video I linked on "is Putin finished" ... pretty much covers this - Russian troops may take but they won't be able to hold

I hope those rules don't apply.. any resistance fighters caught were tortured until they gave up their comrades. Entire villages were wiped out in retaliation..

Just like my big bully brother. He’s fearless towards anyone but when he heard my mom screaming at him, he’d fold
