    If you prune a Jacaranda the new growth will grow back in a straight up manner, not representative of the gnarley manner in which Jackies naturally grow.

    But yeah way too close to the house but in saying that we had one close like that and it worked out well when we put a deck on and the tree shaded the deck beautifully. Just keep blowing the leaves out of the gutter and you'll be right.
