    Hi all,

I am learning about ETF & LIC from posts on the forum.

    Considering options:
a.) Fixed deposit at 8% pa (currency risk involved )
b.) Good LIC/ETF investment - returns will vary pa

Do investors see more than 8% pa.net return on their portfolio? Period of 3/5 years or more would be suitable.

    Cheers

    According to sharesight

    Capital Gain 9.41%
    Dividends 4.74%
    Total Return 14.15% p/a

But that's also re-balancing quarterly with new funds over the 10 years tracked, haven't looked at the internal rate of return (IRR) for cash inflows at irregular intervals

    Gday

I've just started reading about EFTs and LICs too.

Are you going to get financial advice on what's more suitable for you and which ones to choose? If so, how much should I expect to pay for this advice (if it's a one time fee at the start)?

    Thanks
