What Insurance to get when selling empty property (tenant moved out)

    Hi,

    Been holding EBM Ultra Landlord Insurrance, the tenant just moved out and we are in the process of selling the property. Until it get sold what type of insurance I need to get?

    Ask EMB if they will cover you for the standard 60 days (usual time we've had coverage whilst having a house empty for renovating or selling). Once you get over that time, most insurers (certainly ours did) will still cover you but with a higher excess should something happen.

    Crazy thing was that our own house was empty for those 60 days because we were over at the rental, renovating morning to night, coming home to sleep. There was a much higher chance of our own house being robbed than the rental house.
