Is Sunday your day of rest? Or do you catch up on housework ?

Actually I love Saturdays better so I can look through open houses, wish Real Estates had Open houses on Sundays too !!

The family next to me ( Young couple with two young kids) take Sundays seriously as its their only free time with their kids so they 're up at 6am to go out Im still in bed as I hear their car driving off in the morning darkness to their all day planned outings

This is Work Life balance I guess .

Our HR Dept ( I work in Communications)was recently talking to us at a "toolbox" meeting about Work Life balance as there had been attendance problems lately with a few team members who apparently couldnt balance their Work Life ?

He more or less qouted from a book about the importance of doing activities outside of work, and it doesnt have to involve sport it could be reading a book etc,
Sundays should be where you can recharge ready for Monday .

What are you doing on your Sundays ?

Uh.... any day off during the week?

I go to the beach on Saturdays during summer, Sunday is to wind down, rest and do less demanding stuff (getting old, one day fun one day rest...)

You assume that everyone's life revolves around a Mon-Fri work week....

So on a weekend, when you go for a drive, grab some lunch, attend an open house, get a haircut, fill up with fuel for the week, restock the food pile for the week & grab a bottle of wine for Sunday night dinner, who do you interact with?
Many occupations/businesses are at their busiest when everyone else is "resting". So Sunday's aren't just for recharging.... for instance, my son is about to toddle off to work.

Then, there are those that can choose when/if they work... so their Mondays are probably your Sundays.

Our perspective of what should be is shaped by our own realities. Hence, Sunday is my day to finish anything left undone from the previous week.... for some it's rest & others it's just another work day. It's all relative .... ;)

Yeah I fill my days off with renos. But my roster right now at actual work is only 7 days of work out of every 14. So after work tonight I have 5 rostered days off. When Im done with renos that will be like a holiday every fortnight.

Go for a surf in the morning, plan my work week, get distracted by tv, go to sleep worried about not being prepared for the following week. Hang around with the other princes of the underworld.

Squeeze in some Propertychat like everyone else in this thread.:p
I do an 11 day fortnight with every Sunday and every second Saturday off. So Sunday's consist mainly of family time, with a little preparing for the week thrown in. Mrs Sonamic and my daughter are in bed by 7.30 every weeknight and I'm a 11pm type of guy, so there's plenty of time to get "me" stuff done then.

Usually walk dogs first thing in the morning, stop at my favourite flower shop and buy my usual two bunches then back home for coffee.

Flowers have an amazing way of brightening up the day.

Either going for a ride or His Lordship works on his projects. Today we made custom storage for the Camper. I helped since I have woodworking skills.
