Love the fact that there is so much information asymmetry and is therefore not an efficient market, also love the fact that you can buy a property for a discount at any one time - can't do that with BHP shares

Last FY, I handed over around $200K to the three levels of Government, not counting GST.

For that sort of money, I could employ 3 to 4 people full time to collect my rubbish and unblock my toilet pipe :p.

Governments are a bit like men - can’t live with them, can’t live without them :D.

hello hello - yes very true, I should clarify that I meant if BHP shares trade at market for $25 you can't buy it for $20 - thanks for pointing it out!

I love seeing a reno or new home design coming together. It's exciting! I also love that I'm not very good at renovating so now know to hire people to do nearly everything. Even my painting skill are woeful.

I also love the interesting people it allows me to meet.

I love investing in general although for property top 3 would be:
    * You can borrow up to 90% (depending on how many properties you own) and assuming you don't have a guarantor of the property price
    * That you're building a long term asset (if you've bought well)
    * That it doesn't take too much effort once you've bought it (although it is important to keep an eye on the properties + how it fits into your strategy)

I love how it starts off as a passive leveraged way of creating some wealth down the track, then snowballs into an addition that eventually becomes your livelihood, career and passion.

Ana amazing position to be in.

    For me its Compounding effect.
Slowly the asse build equity and yield.

You invest and work hard at the asset and than it take care of you.

The greater the asset base the greater reward later on.

I just love the fact that property investing does not discriminate in that anyone that wished to invest that can put their mind, save and work towards that goal can achieve it, regardless of their social standing in the community. I also, think that as long as it's not a mining town or a 'speculation' investment, investing in property can be rather forgiving and with time, a negative geared property can become a positive geared property. Also, we better hope that communism is at bay, so that we cannot lose our IPs.

Like what some of the other people have mentioned, it is satisfying seeing a reno completed and it is something that is tangible.
