Hi, am reviewing a potential property in QLD which as an encumbrance on the title (dated 1997 - yes, old) states that "The provisions of section 147A of the Land Act 1962-1990 apply to a transfer of the whole or part of the land." As online I cannot find a version earlier than 1994 and there was 147 but no 147A and 147 is now repealed, can anyone shed any light on this?

It’s been abolished so you can essentially ignore it

What does your solicitor say? Legislation may have been repealed and have no further effect or may be covered elsewhere in a subsequent Act.
