What a turnaround....

Been looking at renting a place whilst Darwin drops in price.

3 years ago you couldn't rent a place for love nor money...(well, lots and lots of money helped).

We just went and visited a nice house, in a good area, pet friendly, renovated and reasonably priced.

We were the only visitors for the whole inspection!

If it was overpriced, I'd get it...but this place was all good. Ticked all the boxes, for a lot of prospective tenants.

Been vacant for over 2 months now....

What a difference a few years makes....

Next time someone tells you that real estate never drops in price, feel free to slap them in the face with a wet fish.

I have been spreading this nasty rumour on SS/PC for years....
Booms don't last forever no BS.

 

I know someone who pulled equity out a couple of times to buy there, just sayin'

 

that's good they sourced equity prior to the downturn.

good idea to do the same in Syd and Melb

 

Houses 500 2br units 400.

However this house was 450. No takers....
