I wish I had purchased a two bedder there that sold about two years ago for 750k. Seemed like an excellent price given the location

$5M+ is still a lot of money to come up with, especially given that finance is going to be very difficult.

This one sold for $4.7M last year, with an extra 248m2 and maybe better location?

The bluest of the blue chip... If you can afford to hold it's guaranteed to do well long term.

Personally I prefer Camp Cove :)

Lack of (presumed) heritage listing and possible zoning would be my guess.

So very narrow competition, main road - probably about on market based on comments.

The roads are too congested to drive into town, you have to catch the ferry (1st world problem) .

It isn't that bad... I did Vaucluse to Ultimo for a number of years. If you get in ahead of peak hour then its seamless. If you get in during peak hour / school drop off times its horrible but on par with anywhere else in Sydney ;)

Hah! Maybe I'm a little old school. Seems everyone complains about everything these days. If a 20 minute drive to work is too hard to manage for the kids these days then there isn't anything I can say that'll be able to help :p

It's not even 13km, pretty slow drive.

I have a client that lives in Camp Cove and she was getting the bus into edgecliff then train because the ferry was too infrequent. I think last time I saw her I think she said there's now a ferry that does city-watson's bay-manly loop?

One of my favourite past times is to jump on forums and make up lies and fictional stories - gives me a great kick!
