    I think we can all take something from this. Pure wisdom, beginning to end.

    Love the over caution point in particular. Anyone relate? :)

    That was one area I directed a lot of focused effort into.

    Wise words.

    My scale is more towards pessimist, keeping expectation low. That part is hard to change o_O

    When the glass is half empty, I drink it all and then refill it :p

    I stopped watching and reading news for years now, it did make a difference. Overtime learned to distance myself from those who just make me depressed.

    He's amazing. Last year I listened to all his books. They are on YouTube. Love the speaking / delivery style. So empowering!!

    I wonder if it extends beyond them...

    Brown.

    He who expects nothing, shall not be disappointed ;)

    I watched about 10 Min of the news last night first time in atleast 6 months, rarely watch TV in the last 2 years but my summary was "the world is a messed up place!" just with some French expletives thrown in.
    Surrounding yourself with that everyday can't be healthy! Watching documentaries and factual shows with some positivity for mankind is so much better!

    The best aspect I appreciate about Jim Rohn is that he actually sets out a series philosophies and not just motivational material to transform the mediocre to exceptional. He is comprehensive on so many foundational topics, cuts out the boolschit, politically correct approach and gives it straight in simple language. His philosophies (if adopted seriously) will break you down and then build you up from scratch with an unshakable foundation. IMHO it is really not possible (ok anything is possible but very unlikely) for anyone to study, adopt and live 'his' philosophies and remain mediocre for long. Just my opinion.

    His books aren't that substantial by way of size. Clearly the wisdom within them is disproportionate to tome size. Personally I found his audios and now YouTube's far more helpful and easier to digest. Since he passed away there a bloke called Darren Hardy who re-sells Jim Rohn's media (link below). I'd look at maybe some mp3's and keep referring back to YouTube. Jim Rohn is a gun. He would have been amazing to see live I reckon.
