Viability of stock house plan

    A block of land is under consideration. There is a choice between using a stock plan or having one designed specifically for that block. How viable are stock plans for different locations, blocks, slopes etc? Is it worth the extra cost to have a one-off design for that land? One design has 2550 mm ceilings. Would it be about the same cost to have 2700 mm or so, standard timber length?
