By the way aren’t you still participating in that evil league of active management:eek:?

You aren’t eligible to join those protectors against all that is evil in the investing universe known as Bogleheads unless you fully embrace passive index investing:cool:. Time is running out, act soon before it’s too late - become one with the force:

And besides too much analysis, admin, maintenance and thinking involved. That’s why I sold them. The wisdom of geriatricism:cool:.

A Sloth is lazy, a Sloth is slow, but a Sloth also knows that direct doesn't have to be active.

You should learn the ways of the Sloth. Those things existed mainly in your head.

I must tell my wife that, she’s convinced I’m a master in the art of slothfulness:). She occasionally pokes me in the ribs just to check I’m still alive.

    Individually managed direct equities?

    Concentrate on other things?

Avoid needless noise leading to second guessing what you have delegated?

If this is you saying Farwell – I would like to say thank you for your posts before you go. I thought they were top shelf contributions

+1, @The Falcon ’s posts have been of massive value to me. And a bloody great bloke to boot.

May not be the case but the interest in investing can be so addictive to the point of it becoming all consuming at times which can be problematic depending on what else is going on in one’s life or its priorities. Thank Christ I’m retired.

@Nodrog @dunno the "off the forum" was half tongue in cheek. I need to reduce input and activity however as it doesnt pay and I should be doing other things. Like running a business for one. ha.

I'll flick something to you blokes seperately.

By the way, I just checked on Vanguard's VVLU page, it looks like it is AMIT now: Investment Products

Keep lurking @The Falcon - your posts are densely packed gold nuggets. When are we going to partake in the "red wine experience"?

Personally I would like to thank you for all your contributions, you have taught me a lot of things.
Greatest triumph from your wisdom over time was for myself to go VAS.

That’s very nice of you thanks. However I think the difference is “quality” @The Falcon and @dunno vs “quantity” @nodrog:D.

Look at the total AUM, ETF is growing, fund is shrinking

If anything can bait the falcon back it's good red wine. Maybe he is suffering from dry July syndrome. Between FebFast, DryJuly, Ocsober the months are running out.

Geez so it is. After having been in existence for nearly three years the wholesale unlisted fund only has $8.6 Mil in FUM:eek:.

I wanted to jump in but worried about the lack of FUM. Investors are a fickle bunch. They'll only jump in after good performance, but being value focused this fund may not perform for a while. Interesting.

@dunno are you responsible for the noticeably larger FUM in the ETF:)?

It appears that VALUE is very much for patient Contrarian investors at this point in time. In theory this is why some Factors seem to stand the test of time despite being well known. It’s so bloody hard to hang in there when every man and their dog is making a buck being with the crowd.
