    Didnt realize had to choose...
    the issue here is ciggies, not booze.

    So im miserable because i dont want to breathe in cancerous 2nd hand smoke?

    Anyway, i hope the OP was able to sort out the situation with a satisfactory solution.

    Stop renting apartments, stop buying apartments.

    You are only fueling the oversupply of apartments. Once people stop buying them it will remove the incentive for investors and developers to build these damn things.

    Guess with the huge population growth we can stop living in appartments.

    There is always an option of buying a room in the house. Then it will be a house but an appartment. But yeah, but no, but who knows ;);)
