I'm in the process of moving my property to another agent. I need to serve the notice period before I can move over. During this notice period while i'm still under the existing agent, am i able to sign another contract with the new agent (provided they don't act on my property until the notice period expires)?

Can the signed date on the new contract overlap with the old one?

You can move earlier if the existing agent agrees to it.

Definitely sign a new agent as soon as you notify them - the existing agent will do nothing and the new agent willl help in getting you over to them.

    Where is the property?

Sorry must be my profile setting. I'm in NSW

So its not a problem signing a new contract with the new one while still serving the notice period?

No that's not a problem, you can sign with a new agent whenever you want, they just can't take obsession until the terms of the existing contract have been fulfilled.
