Did you mean 'The Talented Mr Ripley?' Or is that another film altogether?

If you like HK movies, did you ever see any of the Young and Dangerous movies?

Arrested development (TV) need to watch it twice to pick up on some of the very clever jokes and plot

I loved The Piano (and the soundtrack is one of my favourites too)
I never understood why Forest Gump won awards. I found it annoying (along with Groundhog Day). Ditto The English Patient. I'm guessing that could be due to having so much hype surrounding them, that my expectations were too high?

    Shawshank Redemption was good.
    Loved Life is Beautiful too.
I saw The Godfather for the first time (1, 2 and 3) last week. I don't know why I've never managed to see them before. Great movies.

I've got a cupboard full of series to watch... just have to get around to them.

Ditto. I thought Forest Gump was a complete waste of my time...

The original internal affairs was called " infernal affairs". Was better!

    The peaceful warrior.

It has meaning to it, based on a true story.

Movies while growing up had the most impact:
    Picnic at hanging rock.
    Jaws.
    Deliverance.
    Star wars 1.
    Evil dead.

Haven't seen any of the television series mentioned, Dr Who was the most important to me. And Matlock Police in Australia.

True Detective Season 1 was excellent. The 2nd was ok but not like the 1st.
