It is my guess that whoever buys this will have a lot more than $20M to spend. :) :)

At 20 mil I could build a house exactly how I want it. I could have a hundred acres in the hills with a giant mansion and my own helicopter..

Would love to have it as i enjoy the surf but as sea levels rise and tides take away half the beach and retaining overnight I would be cautious. The beaches are much much less permanent now and big tides much more common.
When whole nations are disappearing and we are faced with a refugee crisis in the Pacific....
it's at the point now where Islands are becoming uninhabitable.
was listening to this the other night
What do you do when your country is sinking?

I think that has to have some implications for these types of properties

I think this home would've been better suited to the Sunshine Coast. Looks more like its laid out to be a family/retiree home than a party mansion.

I suspect he probably gets around 1.5-2% commission.

I would suspect more like 1% + GST

It is nice. I love the outdoor entertainment area and all the light. All that glass would be annoying to keep clean but I guess you'd pay someone to do all that with small change in comparison to the house. Not really sure what the deal with is with all the kitchen/kitchenettes in the bedrooms being like self contained mini apartments. I guess when you've got that kind of money what does it matter? Also one thing I hate about these high value properties is they either have ugly kitchens or ugly marble bathrooms. Seriously. It's like as soon as you have money you immediately lose any sense of style.

It would suit me as my summer weekender. Goes with my winter one up in the snowfields.

Had a coffee at BSKT in Nobby this afternoon and drove past it coming home. With frangipanis in full bloom it is still IMHO the most impressive beachfront house on the Gold Coast. I have admired that house even before we moved here when we used to holiday at Broadbeach. Pure understated elegance and style.

These would be fairly easy to live in (Toorak) and I'd put my millions into these I think over the one at the beach -

How many members on PC? Why don't we all chip in and buy it and use it as our meet-up place instead of having different ones in each state.

We can get one of the brokers to do the finance and then they can use the trail to cover all food and drinks each month.

    I'm keen.

Well there's an asking price on this property now. It's 29.5m.

I'm still sticking with my earlier guess that it will go for 26m.
