RentRight is a free smartphone app, available for iPhone and Android users. It has information and tools to help landlords in Victoria manage their properties, and renters manage their tenancies.

    Using RentRight, landlords can:

    • send template emails to renters about goods left behind, upcoming inspections and general property-related issues
    • generate and complete electronic reports, including condition reports and inspection reports that can be customised to suit the property
    • get information about their rights and responsibilities
    • set reminders about common property-related activities such as rent payments and end of lease.
    Renters can:

    • send template emails on issues such as repairs and ending the lease, including the ability to send photos
    • get information on their rights and responsibilities
    • calculate how much a week’s rent is per fortnight, calendar month, six-monthly and yearly
    • budget for their move using a moving-in cost calculator.

I'm not too comfortable with consumer affairs having all of my property details on hand. Have had the app installed for a few months though. Handy to have information close if required.
