Looks like you've got a serious borer problem ... take your photos to the local plant nursery and ask what you need ... it may not be save-able

No photos, as the harvest doesn't last long enough (get in my tummy), but I'm still cutting a dozen asparagus spears every second day ... after the plants have been pruned back, mulched and supposedly put to bed for the winter

Garlic, peas, beans and winter lettuce went in last weekend ... pumpkins still coming off ... passionfruit had decided to flower again (not expecting it to fruit) ... and have leaf miner in my grapefruit

I met a guy recently who is planning to do this. He is from India and chose to buy in Collie WA to eventually retire young with his small family and live sustainably. He wants to grow traditional Indian foods. He chose this location as it was cheap to buy a large block. Currently living in Perth for schooling he said it was easier to do this in Aus than India. He still visits India every year and has relatives visit Aus every year. I thought it was quite interesting that he had such a strong desire to make this big move to live his dream.

Friends did massive statistic studies and decided the best place for them was Meeniyan due to average rainfall and temperatures and fertility etc

We used to eat a lot of these as kids in Western Australia's North West (As well as Mangoes & other fruits) yet when I talk to a lot of other Aussies they aren't aware of the fruit

    Almost cashcows.

The juice is sold in cans in Colombia. It is available in speciality stores here.

The garlic is in, (nearly) dried and trimmed - with the biggest bulbs put away for next year's seed stock ... there's a lot more in that basket than appears - nomnomnomnom - now prepping the beds for sweet corn and watermelon
