My 25 year old sister in law asking what a tuna looks like:

Me: "Well, it's about so big, kinda big eyes...I don't know, it's not the prettiest looking fish."

SIL: "Oh, so it's a fish?"

A few decades ago, working at a tourist attraction...

You speak very good English (sometimes American) for an Australian.

We've just been to Germany. They don't speak English - not even in Church!

PM: House needs a new hot water system.
Me: Hmm, how much would an instant HWS cost?
PM: Plumber says about the same.
Me: Ok, we'll just go with replacing the normal HWS
Go and have a look, instant HWS installed...

Out of curiosity why would you install a storage system over instant at the same cost anyway?

I often get 'you haven't lost the accent' after people notice I am a Kiwi!

I usually say 'thank you, I love my NZ accent'.

It amazes me that those commenting don't seem to think they have an accent!

Just from some quick research on here, instant can be different if you're not used to it, can only use one hot water source at a time, need to increase pressure - could lead to higher usage costs...
    Don't want the tenant complaining.

Do you mean you can run one shower or one dishwasher or sink tap? We have instant gas and can have two showers going or a shower and dishwasher or sink. The pressure isn't as good with two showers running though.
