So I can get a full day of slave labour in. 5am till 6pm plus travelling time half hour or so. Couple of weeks straight then some days off where im hesitant to set an alarm unless I have an early T-off:D:)

    :)
    Wow.

Well, my boss lives near Newcastle and drives to Parramatta in Sydney for work and does this twice a week. He leaves home about 5am to be in the office around 7.30am... better traffic that way he says. Me personally, I really could not cope with doing that. I'd either change jobs or live somewhere closer to work. Though I suppose I usually take close to an hour getting there door to door and I only live 10km away... (bikeride plus bus plus walk)

@Gockie alarm at 5:50am twice a week and 6:01am every weekdays. My furry alarm goes off around 5:30

If it's only 10km from work, why not bike all the way?

Well, it's 10km as the crow flies but 14km by road.... And the majority of it is not on bike friendly roads. (The best option still requires some travel on Pennant Hills Road). I occasionally used to ride to a previous workplace in North Strathfield which would be a similar distance (Google Maps says 15km), but that's on rider friendly, dedicated bike paths.

I set my alarm for 6.20am and snooze till 6.30am. Then up, feed animals, get ready and out the door at 7.

I set my alarm for 1 hour before I go to bed. That way it won't disturb my rest.

It's an extraordinarily rare day that I hit snooze since I began using the Sleep Cycle app and am awoken in my lightest sate of sleep. The app starts "looking" an hour before my wake up time and as soon as I'm our of REM sleep it gently goes off.

Waking from light sleep tends to make all the difference.

Pre-Sleep Cycle I used to hit snooze often.

Other than to catch a plane, I haven't needed an alarm for decades - the body clock alarm is set for between 5.00-5.30 am, and sometimes it kicks in even before 5.00am.

A really big sleep in would be 6.00am. o_O
