    Thank goodness it is over.
Get on with my life as I was sick of the constant campaign announcements.

I'm all for them continuing to drink their kool aid. It can only result in them becoming less and less relevant. If they give up on the teal seats then where do they think their votes are coming from?

Rowan throwing his toys out of the cot because Australia didn't fall for his propaganda is hilarious.

Alexander Downer having a meltdown article in the AFR this morning was hilarious - and was rightly destroyed

Good luck to the ALP in the next 3 years, they have their work cut out for them. Just like the Liberals, Labor also need to do some soul searching, they got in a primary vote of 32%. Two thirds of the country thought there were better options.

This election Teals took seats from some quite moderate Liberals, i think in 3 years time there is a good chance they could well do the same thing to inner city Labor (and Greens).

And the Liberal party only received 24% of the vote.

This is the major problem populist right as it doubles down. Gullibility and ignorance of reality are now central guiding values worn with honour instead of being a source of embarrassment. While this worked in the US it hasn't, thank goodness, worked here.

Indeed though unlike the Libs the ALP have more ideological agility to pivot and swim with the tide rather than against it. Reality has finally caught up to the Libs and they've arrived at a fork in the road with one of those roads leading to irrelevancy. Even re-calibration in the better, more moderate direction may take another election cycle or 2.

Do journalists have nothing better to do than to track down the origin of her dress?! When Julia Gillard was PM there was continuous irritating commentary on her fashion choices.
