You will buy a second hand low klm,s mercedes c class above 2002 4 door leather seats full6 speed auto supercharged ,for less then 7 k from most internet car sales sites, private sales would be less, for value for money and walk away safety factor and of those cars are value..or the AMG mercs are getting cheaper each day if you had the time to run one..

I bought a Bugatti Veyron today. A red one at that. Ok, ok it's a 1:12 scale remote control Bugatti Veyron for my son but you know, a name's a name.

My backgarden looks like a Ricer Workshop most days with cheap fun toys of the Subaru brand - all from the 90s and early 2000s - WRXs, Imprezas and RS Liberty. I don't think any of them cost more than $6k when purchased second hand but since then probably have had some $$ poured into them as they get raced and have gone through many an axel and gearbox.

For me? The Chrysler 300 as a modern, daily driver purchase. I'm 6'3 and 100kg - I can't get in and out of some of the above cars :)

But, I wouldn't buy one. It was just hypothetical.

I enjoyed the thread! Thanks all

I realised the other way to do it was search unique cars and sort from cheapest

Clueless about cars - I drive a 16 year old Toyota Echo inherited from my father in law. Grandkids intrigued with wind up windows and no central locking - actually use a key to open!

Wow, looks great with whatever I could see as there is some old blue clunker blocking it.

The old blue chunker isn't blocking the green beetle at all.

The problem with these and old mercs is they have so many problems and are so expensive to fix both parts and labor and that is the reason they are cheap.

No argument that they look cool

How did I miss this thread? Here is my opinion.

Best brand new NA drivers car (I say NA because there are simply too many fun FI cars these days):
    Mazda MX5
    Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ
I think @neK will agree with this ;)

    Best second hand drivers car:
    Skyline GTR
    Pulsar GTIR
    AE86
    NA Mazda MX5
    DC2 Type R Integra
    S2000
Mini Cooper S (original, not modern)
    Mini Clubman LS1275

There are so many more but alas, I may blow the limit for post size if I were to list all the cars I like ;)

It's a 1976 Mercedes 250. Nothing too 'classic' or desirable, about it, but I've loved the styling for ever.

I test drove it last night and was giggling like I haven't in a long time, and instantly knew I had to have it.

It's so heavy and slow, but so so cool.

It's all completely original except the radio - but there are lots of these around.

The interior looks like it left the showroom yesterday. It needs a respray, and that's probably all I will do to it.

GReat car @Bran - you'll be able to park 'by touch' and not have a single dent on you. That is a solid Merc. You'll get some nice biceps parking without power steering :)
