I'm not exactly sure what you mean by income or deposits but I think there is no "more important" that will fit all investors. Imo the investor who has 2, 3 , 4 mil of cash/equity which is useable and has X risk profile will view the current markets situation very differently from the investor who has say 100k income, 2mil portfolio with an lvr of 70% with a lower risk tolerance.

I've given up crystal ball stuff a long time ago and leave that in the very capable ( and broke) hands of economic super gurus.

Property is not really a poor man's* game. Well not in Sydney and Melbourne. Not to mention the fact that $100k salary is only approx $15/20 K below median.
I actually feel strongly about some one in $60k leveraging them self up and buying $800k property..
I'm glad these days are gone.

I'm all good. Although when things were good people were sharing their stories how to make money.
Now market is turned. Alot of bears screaming they predicted and market will tank further.

Although it doesn't seem like many almost none are sharing how they are making it work in this market.
To be that is true intellectual ability.
Posting stats on how crappy market is doing takes no intellectual ability.
Posting a prediction for a decline in 2015 and being right 3 years later takes little to no intelligence either.

    I'm not having a go.

Where does constantly whining about lack of positive/buy now talk, fit in on your intelligence scale?

    Market economics
Section is the right place to discuss economics of the market. If you don't like seeing negative growth, avert your eyes until the downturn ends? Suggesting tracking the market has anything to do with intelligence is silly and transparent.
