Seems to have done very well for himself at quite a young age - inspiring work and dedication!

Personally I'm in a very similar position as him except 1 year younger.

For me seeing the life that rental properties created for my parents got me motivated to set my self up the same way. I lived rent free under the condition that i saved or invested my money.

I wanted a mobile phone when i was in year 7, my parents told me i couldn't have one unless i got a job so i got a job delivering papers so i could afford one.

Nothing was ever taboo at our house where all my friends had no idea about money or investing
so make sure you teach your kids.

I started my apprenticeship when i was 16 as a plumber.
My first property at 20 i renovated then rented, 1 year later i extracted the equity.
I have done the same for the next 4 always making sure the rent would cover the loan. The last two purchases were brought interstate to diversify they have also been reno and hold aswell.
I will continue this process until the bank will stop lending.

It all comes down to the kid tho, i live and breathe property and remember spending hours on real-estate.com when i was around 16 years old. where my brother who is nearly 21 has zero interest in property he has saved 60k but he thinks you get rich from saving money. I have shown him the figures on the last logan property i purchased and made similar equity from buying below market value and quick cosmetic reno in 1 month as its taken him 4 years to save.

I have a 22 year old sister aswell who brought her first i.p in july she is just content with one i.p and she is now saving for a ppor.

We were all raised the same just all have different desires.

What gets people annoyed with a lot of these news "stories" is not the achievement, its the ulterior motive behind them. Usually its to spruik a mentoring business or buyers agency or accounting firm or seminar.

Good on him. Not only has the man built a great portfolio at a young age (age 25 is when I bought my first), but is smart enough to be leveraging media to promote his businesses.

    It's great to see.

Agree, not everyone's suited to start young. But it's great to see how it can be done, thanks.

I know blokes with 5 times the portfolio he has and have never asked to be in a magazine/newspaper in their lives.. It's either to promote his business or he's just an arrogant fella bragging about his achievements..Either way he's done well..

Just comments about how it's not that impressive, or he's just promoting. Either way it's a good effort.

    Good job to him.

He has done some good buying and good renos to keep going.

I could probably stretch myself a bit further but prefer to have a bigger buffer than 3 months.

But this story inspires me to try a bit harder

    Fabulous story
The comments do have an air of jealousy.
Just congratulate the boy and who cares what is being advertised, and who else is more successful. It's his story he can advertise whatever he wants and those people who are more successful - they can get their own story.

This one is about Jerremy - well done buddy!

He has done really well for himself.

Of course living rent free is an advantage and makes life easier but there are so many people living rent free without using the advantage to secure their financial future. So good on him for making the most of his situation!

Don't you know its sport in Australia "the tall poppy syndrome"......some fear people who are successful, its far easier to tear them down, this way they feel better about themselves. Not referring to anyone on this forum.

Yet this forum is all about creating wealth and financial freedom, we should embrace success and learn from people who have succeeded, to do the opposite is such a waste of time and negative energy

In USA they have a different culture, they embrace successful people, that is one thing I like very much.

He really is inspiring. It just goes to show what you can do when you put your mind to and dedicate yourself to a goal. He's a great role model.
