    Hi guys

I really like the Stinger! But I feel like EVs are the future and very soon ICE cars will look prehistoric and outdated compared to EVs. That brings me to Tesla 3. The only downside of it is that I find them very ugly

What are your thoughts? Any other reasonable options for up to 60k are highly welcome.

    Polestar 2?

Also the GT is $10k more than your $60k price bracket.

I was thinking of getting a used 2019 model, around 30,000km on the clock.

    I'll look into Polestar.

How much is Tesla 3? I struggle to find the info. On their website it says 70k but then underneath it says 65k after savings (unsure what they mean).

Tesla 3 base model is about $65k presently on road. Depending on where you are, there may be government EV discounts.

Ignore that b.s “after savings” price.. all that means is some price they think the average driver would save on petrol.

Tesla is not for everyone.. very minimal interior and everything nearly run through the screen. If you don’t have your own garage to charge it, forget it.

However right now one of the best resale of any vehicle at near 100% after 2-3 years. How long that lasts who knows.

Oh yes, about 12 month wait(!) too on one if buying new.

Stinger is narrow and longgg in the body
Model 3 can be way quicker also
If I was spending $60-80k it'd be on a used Tesla, but I have near 10kw of solar on each property also

Or to put it another way, if you like the Stinger get one to enjoy now because this is likely your last opportunity.

I don't think petrol will go away in our lifetime, if anything used petrol vehicles will probably keep holding some relative appeal particularly as EVs start being taxed on user pays / kilometer basis.

Depends how much longer you're planning on sticking around! Statistically I've got over 40 years left. By that time there definitely won't be many petrol cars around.
Petrol itself will be pretty hard to come by as well.

So the price is the 70k actually, that's what Tesla site says.

I'll be soon living in an apartment building in Perth. Can't charge Tesla there?

    .

With a 10 amp plug just slow.
You would need to find a Fast charge station at a shopping centre

I think the Stinger is a great car, more freedom than an EV car in Australia’s vast land and intestate travel.

That's not very convenient if I can't charge it at home.

And I think I have my favorite car now - cla45 amg! Faster than Stinger and can be have for 60k second hand, with around 60,000 km.

    Any experience with this car?

No experience with this particular car, but experience with Mercedes and euro cars in general. Would not touch a second hand out of warranty euro car, especially a Merc. When things go wrong, expect to spend handsomely for repairs and maintenance. And boy do things go wrong with Mercs.

Also mate, what are your thoughts on tesla 3 basic model vs stinger gt?
And overall, what are your thoughts on EVs? They are cars of the future, so I'm a little bit hesitant buying anything other than an EV.

You seem to be a car enthusiast, so your thoughts would be much appreciated
