Agree, we already have enough white fellas like that, perhaps also known as Bogans, Meth Heads, Dole Bludgers, No Hopers.

Always wonder how many of these boat people etc earning $2pw have pre-travel discussions like, "in Australia apparently the government gives you $450 every 2 weeks to do nothing, you can just go to the beach, watch television, play on the computer all day".

Far out I gotta get myself there

I hope that's not the case, the welfare culture would be alien to these people but without retraining and sufficient language skills that's where some will end up.

Not really if they've been in a situation to witness it via the internet, i.e. Bogan Hunters

I know Italians that have been here for 40+ years that still can't speak let alone write clear English.

No disrespect to Indigenous this country is an English speaking one, much easier for the many various nationalities coming here to learn English than all us learning their many different ones, trouble is their either lazy or not interested, all go home each night or socialise speaking their origin language rather than continuing to practice English with each other.

Many-times I've stood waiting in the supermarket checkout que listening to them talk some foreign language whilst staring at me wondering what their saying, ticks me off!

I don't know about Adelaide but here is what I saw in aisle 10 of Ararat Woolworths. Dutch food has its own notable section !!

Yeah but There are a lot of CITIES with 80k + people in regional Australia. Most of them have distressed property markets. The government is already making moves in this direction. I dunno, there may/may not be opportunity here...

Also...please don't make this thread political! There's better places for that discussion.
