Been a while since I have done this in Sydney (2018 was the last time).

Require a new concrete driveway for a new build and just seeing what the going rates are.

From memory last time it was around $70 per m2 for plain concrete and included crossover.

Had a couple of quotes for a job where it is coming $130-170 per m2. Earthworks not included

Wondering if prices have doubled or should I be getting more quotes.

For reference just did a job in November for $66 per m2 in Perth again including rebuilding crossovers and kerbs. Thought Perth labour was competitive but maybe concrete is cheaper?

All the jobs quoted are around the same size and complexity.

Concrete prices definitely significantly higher since 2018 although still a reasonably cheap product, formwork material cost had an increase when timber went through the roof however have stabilised, commercial labour prices increased dramatically where workers are wanting $500 a day to do a cashie used to be $250-300 in 2018.
Not sure what is fair pricing at the moment for residential work but not surprised to hear significantly higher.
