    I travel extensively for work, and am always pretty damn happy to return to Australia.

    I've lived in several countries. I enjoyed the US, but the gun culture would worry me now. I loved the UK except for the weather. I'd move to Medellín in Colombia in a heartbeat.

    A guy who owed me enough to buy a property on the coast went bankrupt (after transferring his assets) so the comfortable retirement in Australia has become a frugal one. There's a lot of places where the same money could make an extremely comfortable lifestyle.

    However my Mexican born wife doesn't wish to leave.
