Looking to purchase first place. About $100,000 saved and on income of $130,000 a year which is stable.

However, looking to go overseas to do masters in 3 years and then work overseas and then possibly work overseas, so ideally looking for something around 600-700k mark that can be rented out for positive cash flow.

Have never bought before so would be great to get some suggestions.

If positive cashflow, then Sydney and Melbourne most likely out. Brisbane is the likely candidate. It may or may not well in terms of capital gain..

If I had $100k and was under 30. I would salary sacrifice $25k a year for next 4 years. Retirement funding almost completely sorted.
