NSW South Coast meetup

Would anyone be interested in a south coast meetup somewhere between Wollongong and Nowra before xmas? My family are new to the area and I would be keen to meet some like minded people down this way.

Where did you have in mind? Before Xmas might be difficult for me. November is certainly out as is early December. Not sure if any of the south side regulars are interested?

@bob shovel you are correct @Allgood is in fact an underworld figure known as "the principal" and his networks are such that he knew before any of us that we were even thinking about planning this event. He missed the last one and several people lost limbs, so hoping he can make this one.

 

Wish I could but I'm eating flies in the Kimberley. I'll get there one day though

 

Alas, here I am, I knew this would be transpiring and knew this day would eventually come. You are all welcome to flock to my neck of the woods for a feast, a beverage and to converse, but I can't be assured that you'll return home as you were before you left, having witnessed the wonders of the great southern coast. We could gather in the marvellous town of Berry, previously referred to as the town of trees, but now known as the town of tourists. Some make it out alive, but unfortunately most Sydney siders never leave

 

My vendor moved to Berry.... they spent more than they got from the sale of their old home...

 

looking at your profile pic, either you got a bargain or they got ripped off

 

I was shocked.... I can only guess it was quite decent sized land around Berry...

They gave up a quarter acre in walking distance to everything at Epping.... And... They spent quite a bit of money on our house...

In the past few years they had:

* Installed new electrical box, (electrician said it was good)
* Spent $11k on fancy skylights that automatically close if it rains
* Installed the 3 car garage, (with its own water and power)
* Installed new kitchen in 2012 (I enquired about changing a drawer as I figured two shallow drawers is more useful than 1 deep one for the kitchen gadgets. Called the company and it would cost $700 to replace the one draw with two shallow... Ummm I'll make do),
* New tin roof installed sometime between 2013-2015
* I think they also installed the downstairs fireplace

 

Doesn't worry me, I've already got my wee bolt hole waiting when the time's right

 

Berry's pretty exy these days, especially if they bought a few acres with a nice pad.

 

some interest about, i would still be keen if anyone wants to throw a date out there ... although i have some reservations about @Allgood id be happy to go to berry,

Berry is always a good place to visit.
I will keep an eye out for suggested dates.

looks like its going to be too hard to organise something around this time of yeare, ill check back in 2017 and see if people are interested in organising another date,
