Is this in Perth? WTF? Understand shortages on the rest coat with everyone being a close contact and isolating... but what is this?
    Doomsday prepping?

Yes, apparently there's an epidemic in the rest of the world and due to the time difference between WA & the rest of the world, it will arrive in February or March and escape into the community.

My Coles was well picked too. Very little bog roll too. Meanwhile the butcher shop opposite Coles is full of meat.

Yes. I went to get some cleaning products and linen and grabbed a few more things today. Most of the frozen products were gone too today. Where are people keeping all this? No fresh bread, toilet paper. A few packs of linguini & lasagne sheets available - a few packs but the rest sold out. Only the most expensive of anything available also.

You need to become more sustainable over in the west.

Every night about this time, threads about Tasmania turn into what's in the shops in Perth!

    What is going on?

Tighten those borders, maybe you should bubble up with Singapore?

Looks like Tassie is the source of the beginning of an Omicron outbreak in Perth - might as well just let you in now :p

"The number of exposure sites linked to the current Omicron outbreak – which has been mostly centred on the Cockburn area and was triggered when a woman caught the virus from her daughter, who had recently returned from Tasmania – has now blown past 220."

We have some hilarious suburbs here! Cockburn (pronounced Ko-burn) and Innaloo (exactly how it's spelt) are 2 of the best.

What’s the gag - I’d rather live Innaloo than Upper swan?

Haha - the actual numbers aren't dropping - just the amount of people testing! It's really hard to get tests here, even for a RAT.

Should be able to come back after Feb 5, relaxed G2G. Must be triple vaxed (if eligible), negative RAT 24 hrs before travel. Quarantine 14 days - can be at home. PCR within 48 hrs of arrival and Day 12.

Postitive at this stage! (As long as we're not lol)
Just got to get our hands on some RATs. And wait for the G2G to catch up with the new regulations.

@Jess Peletier The WA government has increased the number of overseas arrivals too - so you might be able to apply to come in from OS, AFAIK Tassie is OS isn't it?
