    How does sushi do that?
I usually need 4 rolls to satisfied my hunger.

Isn't it the rice that your body utilises very quickly that does this?

I’d say so. White rice, no fibre. I skip the sushi bar and head for a chicken kebab with salad, tabouli and hommus. Keeps me full until next meal.

I don't think so - plenty of Asian eat rice as their main staple diet.
You don't see anyone starving after?
Body builder eat this for bulking which I follow - Chicken, broccoli and white rice.
I can tell you I am not hungry after consuming enough in 1 sitting.

Well, a racecar backwards is still a racecar.

On the other hand, a racecar upside down is very expensive.

don't the experts say, clean proteins such as chicken breast keep you full for longer whilst bad processed carbs such as pizzas you feel hungry quickly?

well, if I have a grilled chicken breast im usually hungry in about 20 mins, but if i have a pizza, im satisfied for hours

If you look at my avatar pick you will see that I am qualified to comment your above comment. :D
Body builder will not eat normal white rice. Brown rice ok. If white rice you can go basmati white rice. White rice is high GI. Better of having sweet potatoes rather than rice.

Thats a myth. For best results have chicken breast on your pizza. This covers all essential food groups. :p

Unless you have some carbs with your protein, you will feel hungry again fairly quickly.

With the lockdown and no gym right now I have replaced my lean proteins with plenty of chocolate to help me get through lockdown.

Speaking of silly things to spend money on, I’m going to buy me a treadmill so I don’t put on 10kg during this lockdown. And in the spirit of silly spending I am looking at fang dangle commercial grade units. I like bells and whistles. :D

Pokies. Once upon a time in my career, i had to put a research paper together about gambling and especially pokies. The most of the people, who plays pokies are the one's that do not have money to lose. They generally belong to the lower socio-economic group.

    Nice pickup!

Came close a few times on the track, ended up writing it off going around a roundabout, paid 4k to salvage it from the insurance co and sold it to someone in the car club, and bought a LEXUS :)

What have I learnt from this thread…

    Poor people should not

    drink alcohol
    Smoke cigarettes
    Go to the pokies
    eat junk food
    Join a gym
    Use Road Tolls
    Buy new phones

Ok, I don’t think poor people should have any joy in their life, so no pets for poor people:p

Looking back, it's amazing what you will do to "save a dollar" to meet the mortgage
I once burned the old larthen plaster slats in a back yard hole to cook (chuck steak with potatoes as a once a week treat ) .
Sure I was past the bread and vegimite stage (no butter), but wasnt up to spending money on more than the cost of a can of baked beans for dinner
Looking back, I'm now used to an ensuite (V's the outdoor toilet & shower) and enjoy the occasional takeaway (along with my now "flash lifestyle") that I couldn't afford otherwise :(

Alcohol in moderation doesn't seem to be necessarily bad for you.
Weird thing is, since covid started, I've maybe had 30 beers max, so my consumer has decreased quite a bit.

Absolutely! I use alcohol many times a day.

As sanitiser for my hands though. I've still abstained from drinking it for quite a few years now.
