Exactly, and how many take total control, if there's work required? Some just think let's be an investor, long term, and it will be fine, yet more volatility in stock dilute the price the longer you own (so far opposite to RE)?
I think whatever the investment you take you need to understand it and be in control!

    Bump.....

4 months later, where are we now?

Property sort of going on nose now???

QLD?? Is there hope here or will we continue to see a fragmented market??

I think Perth has turned a corner, but by no means is it a sellers market, nowhere close yet.

Shares?? Posts becoming less frequent these days

I think what we may be seeing now on the forum is caution, not so much bravado and urgency to jump into markets property or shares

    MTR:)

I can't see value in property at the moment in Melb, so I'm spending my time and energy developing land already owned as my priority is income now not growth.
As for shares I'm just plotting along buying as much as I can afford every week, have a long list of buy orders waiting to be filled this week hopefully.
The next thread/discussion topic I would like to start/read would be gearing strategies/ideas for shares.
    It's business as usual here.

I also find that this is always a very busy time of year for most people, work-wise.

The volume of enquiries I receive about advertising and membership is up significantly - it was at this time last year too. Start of the year planning has been done, time to execute strategies. I think that applies across many industries - projects are well underway and people are just busy.

I find it happens around Sept-Oct as well, when people start to get really busy trying to get stuff done before the end of the year.

I think most people are going to be in "wait and see" mode right now - especially with the upcoming election and the implications that will have to various investment strategies.

Nah, just property is dull and rightfully so. Always plenty of excitement in the Other Assets areas of PC.

Since the restructure of this forum I have noticed less posting, could simply be a case of seeming like less posts are there are more subsections now.
I have however noticed a slowdown in enquirers/calls for work(construction). As stated people are in the watch and wait mode, Iā€™m just in autopilot, keep dca into chosen stocks and continue battling with council and neighbours to try get the approval stamp for the current development.
    Nothing too exciting
